aboutus

The Corlurgan Salers Herd was established in 1997 with the purchase of one in calf heifer. We expanded from there over the next few years buying more in calf heifers and cows which were selected from very good bloodlines in France and Ireland.

We started out on the show circuit in the year 2000 and were successful with our cow Jamaique winning Supreme Champion at the RDS Spring Show in Goffs. Later that year at Tullamore National Show Jolie was judged Supreme Champion and Corlurgan Anthony won 1st Prize in the calf section.

Ourson was purchased from the well-known Fourtet herd in France in 2001 as our first stock sire. Ourson is well known for his muscle, growth, exceptional legs and feet and above all his excellent temperament-traits that he has passed on to his calves. Ourson is breeding beefy calves and heifers with milk.
